| Any idea what bolts are required to hard mount the G27 I have just snapped 1 of the plastic mounting bolts. Half way through T1 on bl1 a ping & a crack and plastic flying everywhere put a new dimension to realism as it was during contact | |

| this is the stand which i have and as far as i can see it is fitted using bolts going through a square plate. I am unsure though if it uses the big original bolts as support.

Half way through T1 on bl1 a ping & a crack and plastic flying everywhere put a new dimension to realism as it was during contact Ok it's easy. You will need 2 M6X1 bolts. You can find them in any hardware store. Here are the official 1:1 Logitech schematics: http://aws13-customer-care-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/CC%20Graphics/G27/Wheel.jpg This sheet is very accurate (you should print it and print real size, no zoom-in etc effects), it helped me a lot to pinpoint where to drill my holes on my desk. You will need to fine-tune and check tho because in my case it wasn't 100% 1:1 scale, but you can still figure out by putting your wheel on table too and comparing the sizes by drawing the perimeter. Don't worry, I broke one of the stock mounting clamps too. Hahaha. But when you hard mount it, it's gonna be rock solid ! I also removed the broken clamp completely and let the hole exposed and it now helps for cooling ! Don't buy stands or anything, waste of money (unless u wanna make a cockpit). The M6X1 bolts are super cheap and you can find them in any hardware store. My Logitech cap also broke and the wheel was jerking but with some bigger bolts and bolt grommets I got it rock solid too again. Good Luck. | |
