Formula BMW & GP Track servers track configurations

Hey,

We all know the new Blackwood track brought more "real" feeling to the track both in visual and technical way. It also brought new track configuration - Historic, which enables a track lauout as it used to be in the past before the chicane in SC1 was built.
As MRc has two servers, after the update one has BL1 config and the second has BL2. In first days most of the people were still racing on full, BL1 config, but they soon got to know about shorter, historic config and moved on to it. I was worried that this situation will become normal, but everyone was saiyng like "ey, don't be afraid, there are two servers, people will drive on both of them so don't worry!"..
Unfortunately, now GP Track server with BL1 config is like dead empty all the time (or with few rookies who don't know how to change gear), everyone sticks to Historic config which in my opinion is...
Boring as hell.
I know, maybe the chicane in SC1 is harder now, but hey! It's more challenging and brings some real competition there! On BL1 where we have one corner in whole sector and straight on half of the track is more like draft masters race....
This killed the whole Blackwood feeling as it used to be for over 10 years.

Why did this happen? Do people really got scared of these sausages? Or what? They were difficult for few days, max. weeks. Then you get used to them and the chicane is not a challenge anymore.
But all of you decided to take the easy way out and forget about the real Blackwood config...
Soon everyone will forget completely how to pass this chicane. Or they already forgot.

So. My lamet is over now I'd like to give you a proposal:

Maybe you could do something like rotate configuration? That one day the servers use BL1 config, and the next day BL2?
Everyone will be happy then and it will bring at least a bit more... attractiveness to racing everyday

I personally don't see everyone driving on historic as a problem as the MRc FBM servers are again back as the most popular. I regularly see both servers full but I think if we made it rotate I could see AA or similar cashing in and MRc being empty.  As at the minute historic is what most drivers seem to want.

And thats how it looks at all times (well, maybe with even more at Formula bc it's early now)
Keep in mind that one slot in each server is occupied by MRc bot, so its 7 vs 0.

Actually, lastly I found drift servers much more lively (even met CyBaNeTiiKz there, remember him? ) than any kind of racing activity in LFS and bizarrely they bring much more joy for me now than this draft competitions so I don't have to visit this damned historic thing..

But how could config rotation cause MRc servers become empty?? How??

hi all! personally, I don't see the problem both servers the normal attendance! especially after the recent updates BL2 is popular among racers FBM if not to drive 1.11 Daretsky lol

The fact 8 drivers are on it now proves to me we need to keep it anyway Demo should be locked down more in my opinion. 

This is how I would do it 1 or 2 races max then change.

Bl1 fbm
Bl1 xrg
Bl1 xfg
BL2 FBM
BK2XFG
BL2 XRG
BK3 XRG
BL3 XFG

Probably missed a combo but I would make all drivers drive all combos in demo.

Darecki its not the case with you but it annoys me when driver's boast about how quick they are when they have done 10000 plus laps on 1 combo but cant drive anything else. They then say they cant afford s1 but are on top of the range pc's with full broadband packages.

Well I'm not saying that the servers should have all possible combos in rotation. I'm just saying about BL1 and BL2 on FBM servers. But your idea would be a good option though LFS in general lacks of such content, there are completely no servers with car classes rotation or anything,

10000+laps on one combo masters - this argument is not vaild here because BL2 is even easier to drive and makes inequality more visible, unfortunately.
And... the argument that BL2 is more "rookie" friendly makes completely no sense because on both track 99% of major accidents take place on first corner or right after it, not the chicane.
It's just that the update made demo EVEN more weak when it comes to content - it's always two corners less, huh Plus it retards everyone's skills in comparison to old BL (less corners to pass, less skills to train...or actually less skills to keep).

I kinda agree with Darecki here, for most of the time i've been online this week the majority drives the historic version on formula bmw, and the gp track has like 1-3 racers. Could we try what happens if we make it so its like 2 days of historic and 2 days of gp track rotating on both servers? If it seems that it pushes racers to other servers then we just call it as a bad move and do it like its done now. If ppl don't race on GP track they soon forget how to do that chicane! 

This is like me saying ths gti servers are dead lets make the fbm servers gti so I have people to race on a combo I like..


I don't think its a good idea but would support it if other supads wanted to try it.

 Darecki if you stop winning so much , maybe more people will play   just kidding.
I think Mrc should arrange some weekend races FBM on other tracks would be nice, LFS is based on mostly demo drivers, so its Blackwood 4 life only , tunnelvision 1 track & the easiest layout.
Maybe closing the Historic server would be an option to get people to drive on the GP Track & respect it again.

My own view = most people just drive on Historic and thats why people join Historic , GP Track is empty and they think why join the empty server.

I like GP-Track & i will consider joining GP-Track more often.
But i hope Mrc can arrange some In-house cups based on the other tracks in the game. 
South-City for example , we drove there with Allgonosho - Max - and some random guys, and its close racing , walls are close its a totally different experience.

I've been on GP Track today for an hour. In that time total amount of players that entered this server was... well take a look:

11 players (including me) visited the server during one hour. Most of the time I was on the server all alone.
Meanwhile on Formula BMW:

14 racers at that moment.

So do you still want to tell me that both servers are full of people all the time?
Look at those people on Formula and GP Track.. I had been waiting for an hour for anyone to come. Nobody came.
Well I don't care, i had fun doing hotlaps.

Tried numerous times. People stay there for 1-2 races (or to first sausage hit) and go.
Second thing - many people don't even know that there is a second server with BL1 config. And they are surprised when I'm telling them that on GP Track you have BL1 config. They just got used to that in the past Formula BMW was for "pro" racers and GP Track was for "rookies" - and they just choose Formula BMW server because of that. And now it's the opposite - Formula BMW where pro racers drive has noobish layout and GP Track BMW full of rookies use more challenging, real layout.
I just feel sad that Blackwood became what it became after the update. Dote and lame. And people seem to like it.

Many people wanted the same solution as I wrote here and now they stay silent.
