g27 should be here later

My dad decided to sell me his new Logitech g27 which will hopefully help me improve once I get used to it
any tips on setting it up good for lfs will be appreciated

Profiler version 5.08.146 (Only version I could get to work on windows7)

Global device settings
Overall effects 105%
Spring 0%
Damper 0%
No cross on centering spring or report combined pedals.
510 deg rotation
no cross on allow game to adjust settings (might try changing that at some point)

Sorry I cant read the ingame settings using RFX's background & cant read the txt if you could send me the original background I will change it & let u know the settings.

cool niceone I have now got my g27  . only thing I had problems with when I drove with it at my dads was with the centre spring turned off I tended to over steer a lot on corners/bends

thank you   Day one of using went well I think, even though I was getting pretty  slow lap times I was managing to complete full laps without crashing in the lx4. It does feel like a big change as I drove using a playstation 3 gamepad for 6 years(nearly 100.000 laps) so I didn't expect to be faster at first

My thoughts on the g27 at the moment is it  is a great wheel and unlike previous wheels I had tried it feels very precise. I was worried at first that I spend that much on a wheel and not be able to get used to it but I do feel confident that I will soon enough start to improve quite a lot

ooo my friend gamepad is not something that the G27, I had a lot of different rudders G27 was the most perfect, there are already new Logitech G29 steering wheels by example, but I'm not familiar with it yet. Get used to it mate you have a great wheel!

Definitely g27 is the best choice  y will improve soon and get better times..i had before my DFGT much worse wheel..something acme racing wheel..and i did in rally 1.08.20 very quickly
Y had gamepad which is worse than my old wheel
Now come in rally too, i give y some tips
I chare my settings too then:

Wheelturn: 270
Wheelturn compensation: 1.00
Force feedback: 0
Throttle/brake axes: combinad
Button control rate: 10
Throttle/brake centre reduction: 0
Grearshift debounce(under misc): 20ms

I agree the g27 is a great wheel  ijust need to adapt. Gamepad can be really good when its set correct like I had it. I done my pb with it when I was driving more regular 1:12.62 (clean lap). so I am hoping that il soon improve on that

As for the g29 wheel, visually it just looks like any normal console wheel and does not look all that good.i chose to get the g27 instead of saving some more to buy one

thanks mate. I used to drive rally every day before I started to learn fbm but only managed a 1.09.45 pb time so could do with improving that. The only  thing I need to get used to is while using a gamepad I very rarely lose control and had it setup so that the steering was smooth, it did take 6 years of using a pad to get confident though so I guess a little  time and persistence with get me better using wheel
