  • Locked diff is the factor between the rear wheels are constant. Both wheels travel the same distance. This however creates resistance as the wheels do not travel the same length when turning. A car with locked diff would want to go straight forward and is therefore perfect for drag racing.


  • Open diff allows the driven wheels to travel at different lengths. This however means that when one wheel loses grip it will keep spinning until power is released. Not suitable for racing.


  • Clutch pack LSD is somewhere in between the two previous as it allows the wheels to go different lengths but still apply some lock. This often comes with the coast/power being adjustable. Meaning you can control how much lock you want while being off the throttle(coast) or on the throttle(power).


  • Viscous LSD is like the clutchpack but being speed sensitive. If one wheel spins faster then the other it tries to transfer power to the other wheel, and the faster the first wheel is spinning the more power is transferred to the other.

In a real racing environment a clutchpack LSD is almost always the only one used.

OK for XFG Rally cross which one do you use???????????? and is this already part of a set that is given to you or does it need to be changed?

ah yeah how are u m8,good to see u.do you drive auto gears which i know may sound like its nothing to do with driving lines but sometimes a downshift to 2nd lets say can pull you around a line while auto stays in 3rd which doesnt have the required power to pull you as its working against the motion the cars already travelling,

to be honest im ok with the theory of it all as its basically boils down to science but to put in practice i struggle,,best guys that can help is basically the ones that race it more eg samix ,skswat ect sorry couldnt be any more help mate but good luck and is good to see you

I shift now no auto PB now at 1.08.88 thx to MRc still would like to know if locking is what they use or not i believe they do (best with auto was 1.09.39)

i believe it is m8 as my sets are ones sent by them,cool nice pb aswell mate il have to come on the rallyx server and and have a few races its been a while

ive been spending most of my time on the fbm servers mate as i felt like i got to the stage where i was trying that much to improve my bl2 laptime that it was actually causing me to make mistakes and also that i didnt want to focus on laptimes that much as to me its a race so coming 1st shouldve have been my priorty.the time ive spent on fbm has improved me greatly and its is fun,but i do miss racing on bl2 and seing you guys so il pop on for sure,ive also started to improve my bf1 ky1 hotlap time which on my 1st attempt at bf1 for a couple of months got my time to 31.43 which is still a bit off wr but being my 1st time in a while and beating my previous hotlap must be a good sign so gonna work on that a couple of times a day,,.do you know if rowdogs been on much

For Rallycross is of course best Locked diff, but if you use right settings for Clutchpack, then its almost the same. (I also have that setup, if someone want try) I seen driven 1:07,xx with clutchpack and 34,8x splits with that, but I prefer locked diff. Its locked and thats it. Very Happy

For FBM... I am not the right person to ask Very Happy but I would probably prefer Clutch pack. But need to be set right.

Well i have improved my PB on MRc server Rally 4 Lap while MRc Jagger was there i hit 1.08.79

YES and on FPS sever hit new PB 1.08.72 YES

nice...congrat mate....that s why mrc members have to help other drivers....gonna be better races ,whit better drivers....here i want to make a difference from others teams,like aa...just help the new guy to improve and the race will be more safe....its a big diference between a new racer and a crasher...
